Herve Renard and the Ivory Coast Football Federation

Ivory Coast have appointed Herve Renard for a second spell as national-team coach after allowing Emerse Fae’s contract to expire. Renard previously led the country to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations title during his first tenure.
The 57-year-old returns after coaching Morocco, Saudi Arabia, France’s women and Tunisia. His contract length was not disclosed, but he is expected in Abidjan shortly to begin work following Ivory Coast’s World Cup last-32 exit.
