Fenway Sports Group, Liverpool and Amit Bhatia

Fenway Sports Group has reportedly agreed to sell a 38 percent stake in Liverpool to a consortium led by British-Indian businessman Amit Bhatia. The ownership change comes during a wider period of executive transition behind the scenes at Anfield.
The Athletic reported the agreement while detailing Liverpool’s summer upheaval, which also included Michael Edwards leaving and sporting director Richard Hughes preparing to move on. FSG president Mike Gordon has resumed oversight of the club’s day-to-day football operations.
