Folarin Balogun, Everton and Monaco

Everton have requested a two-hour transfer deadline extension to complete Folarin Balogun’s proposed £40 million move from Monaco. The agreement had appeared close to collapsing after concerns emerged during the United States striker’s medical, forcing the clubs back into negotiations.
Everton and Monaco renegotiated the deal and submitted a deal sheet before the deadline, allowing more time to finish the paperwork. Everton also had a loan proposal for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee rejected while seeking an alternative to Balogun.
