Julio Enciso suffered an injury scare in Paraguay’s final World Cup warm-up match against Nicaragua, leaving their opener against the USMNT uncertain. The Strasbourg forward was substituted after 25 minutes following knocks to his hamstring and waist area.
Gustavo Alfaro said Enciso would undergo tests but hoped the problem was impact-related rather than muscular. Paraguay need clarity quickly, with the forward expected to be one of their main attacking threats at SoFi Stadium on 12 June.
