Tino Livramento has been ruled out of England’s World Cup campaign with a calf injury, forcing Thomas Tuchel to call up Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah. The Newcastle full-back was injured in training before the Croatia opener.
Livramento’s absence removes a flexible full-back option after he had already entered camp short of match sharpness. Chalobah adds size and centre-back cover, but England’s full-back depth remains stretched behind Reece James and Djed Spence.
