Aston Villa, Juventus and Mathilde Harviken

Aston Villa have signed Norway international defender Mathilde Harviken from Juventus. The 24-year-old arrives after winning Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the inaugural Serie A Women’s Cup during her time in Italy.

Villa said they had tracked Harviken for more than two years and believe she can make an impact in the Women’s Super League. She brings Champions League experience and senior Norway pedigree to their defence.

Arsenal, Brondby and Isabella Damm

Arsenal have signed Danish goalkeeper Isabella Damm on a permanent transfer from Brondby. The 18-year-old, a Denmark youth international, previously trained with Arsenal on trial and has now joined their senior goalkeeping group.

Damm made her Brondby first-team debut in October 2025 and will wear Arsenal’s number 40 shirt. Manager Renee Slegers described her as an exciting young goalkeeper with composure, bravery and strong long-term potential.

Jhon Duran, Al-Nassr and Benfica

Jhon Duran is reportedly close to joining Benfica on loan from Al-Nassr after a difficult spell in Saudi Arabia. The Colombian forward has struggled since leaving Aston Villa in a €77m move in January 2025.

Reports in Portugal say Al-Nassr are prepared to cover most of Duran’s wages to facilitate the move. The 22-year-old has been given permission to find a new club and revive his career in Europe.

Christian Pulisic, NYCFC and AC Milan

New York City FC have confirmed interest in signing Christian Pulisic, but admit a move is effectively dead for now because AC Milan do not want to sell him. The American forward remains contracted through 2027.

NYCFC president Brad Sims said MLS would love Pulisic to return home, but Milan’s stance blocks any deal. The update comes after Pulisic’s injury-hit World Cup, where he failed to score as the USMNT exited early.

Burnley, RB Leipzig and Maxime Esteve

Burnley defender Maxime Esteve has joined RB Leipzig in a reported £27.3m deal. The 24-year-old leaves Turf Moor two years after Burnley paid Montpellier £10.2m to make his original loan move permanent.

Esteve was a key part of Burnley’s 2024-25 Championship-winning side and made 100 appearances for the club. Their latest Premier League relegation opened the door for Leipzig, who finished third in the Bundesliga last season.

Bournemouth, Fiorentina and Alex Jimenez

Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez has joined Fiorentina on a season-long loan, with the deal including a €20m option to buy. The move allows him to play while he remains suspended by Bournemouth pending an investigation.

Bournemouth dropped Jimenez from the first team in May over what they called a serious matter linked to social media posts. The Spain Under-21 defender joined permanently from AC Milan only in February on a deal until 2031.

Coventry City, Eintracht Frankfurt and Aurele Amenda

Coventry City have signed Switzerland defender Aurele Amenda from Eintracht Frankfurt in a deal worth more than £17m. The 22-year-old centre-back has agreed a four-year contract with the newly promoted Premier League club.

Amenda becomes Coventry’s third summer signing after Loum Tchaouna and Frank Onyeka, as Frank Lampard builds for the club’s first top-flight campaign in 25 years. Coventry remain interested in adding a goalkeeper before the season.

Crystal Palace and Lexi Lloyd-Smith

Crystal Palace have signed England Under-23 striker Lexi Lloyd-Smith on a three-year deal. The 23-year-old was WSL2’s top scorer last season for Bristol City, scoring 23 goals in 48 appearances.

Lloyd-Smith will play in the Women’s Super League for the first time after Palace secured promotion. Her arrival continues Jo Potter’s rebuild after the club also signed Lionesses striker Bethany England earlier this week.

Arsenal, Club Brugge and Christos Tzolis

Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement worth about £34m with Club Brugge to sign Greece winger Christos Tzolis. The move follows Leandro Trossard’s transfer to Besiktas and is separate from Arsenal’s interest in other attacking targets.

Tzolis is viewed as a specific tactical fit for Mikel Arteta’s frontline after producing 22 goals and 29 assists last season. Arsenal are now finalising the move as they refresh their attacking depth before the new campaign.

Everton and Hannah Cain

Wales forward Hannah Cain has rejoined Everton after leaving Leicester City at the end of her contract. The 27-year-old previously spent two years on Merseyside after signing her first professional deal with the Toffees in 2018.

Cain brings international pedigree after scoring the goal that sent Wales women to their first major tournament and later netting at Euro 2025. She becomes another attacking option for Everton as the club reshape after Leicester’s relegation.
