Al-Hilal, West Ham and Crysencio Summerville

Al-Hilal have agreed a deal to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham. The Dutch winger has clearance for a medical after West Ham accepted an initial £55m fee with a further £5m in add-ons.

The move would give relegated West Ham another major sale after Mateus Fernandes joined Tottenham. Summerville had also attracted Aston Villa interest, but Al-Hilal are now expected to complete the Riyadh move.

Bournemouth, Chelsea and Alex Scott

Bournemouth have rejected a £64m bid from Chelsea for midfielder Alex Scott. The Cherries told Chelsea they do not welcome further approaches, even though Scott has rejected a new contract with two years left.

Bournemouth are under no pressure to sell after Europa League qualification and major income from previous player sales. Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and Manchester City have also shown interest in Scott during a busy Premier League midfield market.

Ipswich Town, Leicester City and Abdul Fatawu

Ipswich Town have completed the £20m signing of Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu from Leicester City. The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract as Gary O’Neil prepares for Premier League football.

Fatawu scored 16 goals in 100 Leicester games after joining from Sporting in 2023. His arrival could allow Ipswich winger Jaden Philogene to leave, with Bologna, Roma and Benfica among interested clubs.

Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and Karim Adeyemi

Barcelona are reportedly close to announcing Karim Adeyemi after reaching an agreement with Borussia Dortmund this week. The German winger has completed his medical, with the deal said to be worth €22m plus €7m in add-ons.

The announcement has been delayed while Barcelona organise the player’s presentation and club agenda after the World Cup final. Adeyemi would become Hansi Flick’s second summer signing after Anthony Gordon before their pre-season schedule intensifies.

Aston Villa Women and Akane Okuma

Aston Villa have signed Japan goalkeeper Akane Okuma from INAC Kobe Leonessa, subject to visa approval. The 21-year-old represented Japan at youth level and was part of the senior squad that won the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

Villa described Okuma as an exciting young talent and another example of the club scouting wider international markets. She joins a side that finished ninth last season before the WSL expands to 14 teams next campaign.

Aston Villa, Chelsea and Alejandro Garnacho

Aston Villa have reportedly held talks over a move for Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho after agreeing to sell Morgan Rogers for £117m this summer. Unai Emery wants a direct, pacey attacker despite Johan Manzambi already arriving.

Chelsea value Garnacho at around £50m and are planning to sell him as part of a major squad trim. Villa now have funds from the Rogers sale but must balance attacking needs with financial and squad priorities.

Arsenal, Newcastle United and Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal have reportedly opened direct talks with Newcastle over Brazil midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer. The player is said to want a move to the Premier League champions, while Arsenal are prepared to offer around £60m.

Newcastle are expected to demand more after previously insisting Guimaraes was not for sale. Arsenal’s push follows their failure to land Morgan Rogers, who joined Chelsea in a British-record £117m deal after Villa accepted.

Everton have agreed a deal to sign Finland striker Jutta Rantala from Leicester City in this summer transfer window. The 26-year-old has one year left on her contract and is expected to move for a fee.

Rantala scored 13 goals in 48 Leicester appearances and was their 2023-24 player of the season. Her exit continues Leicester’s post-relegation overhaul, while Everton add another attacking option under new manager Scott Phelan for the coming campaign.

Tottenham Women have signed France defender Alice Sombath from Lyon for a club-record fee before the new WSL campaign. The 22-year-old centre-back arrives after making more than 100 Lyon appearances and winning multiple French titles.

Sombath strengthens Martin Ho’s defence and becomes Spurs’ latest major summer addition after their strong WSL season. The fee beats their previous record, believed to be Signe Gaupset’s move worth more than £375,000.

Chelsea, Crystal Palace and Maxence Lacroix

Chelsea have stepped up their pursuit of Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix after a fresh round of positive talks. Palace value the France centre-back at a minimum of £60m and want to keep him.

Lacroix is open to a new challenge after 98 Palace appearances since joining from Wolfsburg. Chelsea want more Premier League-ready players, while any successful move would place Trevoh Chalobah’s future under further scrutiny.
