Como have officially signed Italy midfielder Samuele Ricci from AC Milan on loan until the end of the 2026-27 season, with an option included in the agreement. The 25-year-old arrives with more than 200 professional appearances and extensive Serie A experience.

Ricci joined Milan from Torino in July 2025 after developing at Empoli and spending three and a half seasons in Turin. Como manager Cesc Fabregas said his technical quality, intelligence and ability to control possession fit the team’s playing approach.

Harrison Armstrong, Nottingham Forest and Everton

Nottingham Forest have launched a £40 million move for Everton midfielder Harrison Armstrong, with a potential sell-on clause also proposed. The 19-year-old England youth international is regarded as one of Everton’s brightest academy prospects and has already made 23 senior appearances.

Forest are pushing to strengthen before the transfer deadline and believe they can tempt Everton despite no indication the Merseyside club will accept. Armstrong started Everton’s win over Crystal Palace and remained in the lineup for Saturday’s match at Bournemouth.

AZ have agreed a deal worth around €7 million for FC Midtjylland midfielder Valdemar Byskov, according to the supplied reporting. The 21-year-old Denmark Under-21 international is set to travel to the Netherlands for a medical before signing a long-term contract.

Byskov has already made more than 100 first-team appearances for Midtjylland, scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. The reported €7 million fee would make him one of AZ’s most expensive signings, just below the club record of €7.3 million.

Alvarez missed four consecutive training sessions and is expected to sit out Atletico’s match at Sevilla. Reports say the club wants a decision by Sunday, while Arsenal remain interested and Manchester City have held talks about bringing the Argentina striker back.

St. Louis City are nearing a deal worth around $12 million for Colorado Rapids striker Rafael Navarro, with broad terms agreed but final details unresolved. The fee would set a new record for a transfer between Major League Soccer clubs.

Navarro became St. Louis’ leading summer target after scoring consistently for Colorado, including 11 goals and five assists this season. A completed trade would also allow the Rapids to convert part of the fee into allocation money and open a Designated Player slot.
