Ollie Watkins has completed a £51 million move from Aston Villa to Al-Hilal on a three-year contract. The 30-year-old leaves Villa after six seasons as the club’s record Premier League scorer, having scored 91 top-flight goals for them.

Watkins had made himself unavailable for Villa’s opening league match and later apologised to Unai Emery. His departure follows major summer changes at Villa, while Al-Hilal add him to an attack that also includes new winger Crysencio Summerville.

Folarin Balogun, Everton and Monaco

Everton have submitted an €18 million bid to Monaco for United States striker Folarin Balogun, with the player reportedly agreeing personal terms in principle. The 25-year-old has indicated that a move to Merseyside is his preferred destination before the deadline.

Monaco remain reluctant to lose Balogun, so the clubs must still agree a fee. Everton’s ability to complete the move may also depend on attacking departures, with Iliman Ndiaye in Tottenham talks and Beto another possible outgoing player.

Abdul Abdulmalik, Djurgardens and Boreham Wood

Djurgardens have agreed a National League record fee exceeding £1.5 million for Boreham Wood winger Abdul Abdulmalik. The 23-year-old is completing a medical in Sweden, with the deal surpassing the fifth-tier record set by Jamie Vardy’s 2012 Leicester move.

Boreham Wood previously rejected £1 million and £1.5 million bids after Abdulmalik scored 17 goals and supplied 10 assists last season. The former Millwall academy player later made himself unavailable for selection as he pushed to secure a transfer.

Iliman Ndiaye, Richarlison, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton

Tottenham and Everton have largely agreed a deal for Iliman Ndiaye, while Everton have separately agreed terms in principle to re-sign Richarlison. Both transfers remain subject to remaining personal terms, medicals and final formalities before the deadline.

Ndiaye rejected multiple Everton contract offers and has also drawn Manchester City interest. Richarlison had already asked to leave Tottenham, making this a hard update on his situation, while Spurs are reshaping their attack after missing out on Cody Gakpo.

Neil El Aynaoui, RB Leipzig and Roma

RB Leipzig have reached a verbal agreement with Roma to sign Morocco midfielder Neil El Aynaoui. The proposed deal is a one-season loan costing €4 million with a €25 million purchase option, with final details still being completed.

El Aynaoui is expected to undergo a medical and sign before the deadline after Leipzig identified him as their preferred option for a number six or eight role. The 25-year-old joined Roma from Lens only last summer.

Emiliano Martínez, Chelsea and Aston Villa

Chelsea have completed the £7.5 million signing of Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa. The 33-year-old Argentina goalkeeper has signed a three-year contract at Stamford Bridge after six seasons with Villa, where he made 256 appearances and won the Europa League.

Villa had already signed Zion Suzuki and were prepared to move Martínez on after an earlier Juventus transfer collapsed. Chelsea turned to the World Cup winner amid renewed scrutiny of Robert Sánchez, with Martínez expected to compete immediately for the number-one role.
