FIFA president Gianni Infantino apologised to the Council over his abandoned proposal to sell commercial rights to private investors. Football Association chair Debbie Hewitt said unanswered questions and undisclosed documents continued to raise doubts about his suitability to lead.
Infantino acknowledged failures in consultation and communication surrounding FIFA Forward Enterprise but did not release the requested papers at Thursday’s meeting. Hewitt demanded written answers. FIFA committees will also review the Peace Prize and proposed disciplinary safeguards, with further reports expected in December.
