Crystal Palace firm over Adam Wharton amid renewed Manchester United pursuit

Crystal Palace co-owner Steve Parish has dismissed pressure to sell midfielder Adam Wharton, insisting he remains focused on Palace despite Manchester United’s interest. United view the 21-year-old as a long-term successor to Casemiro, with a £60m bid under consideration.
Parish told talkSPORT that while Wharton may one day seek Champions League football, he is “very committed” to the club. Palace signed Wharton for £22m in 2024, and he played a key role in their FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs. Wharton, left out of England’s latest squad, said Thomas Tuchel assured him he remains “close” to selection.
