Adam Lallana has served as assistant coach for Southampton’s last three matches, with his playing future unclear as his contract nears expiry and he hasn’t featured since March 8.
Interim boss Simon Rusk confirmed Lallana will continue in a coaching role for now, stating the decision to resume playing lies solely with the 36-year-old midfielder.
