The Spanish Football Federation has postponed the Copa del Rey second-round draw from 16 November to 23 November. The decision follows the rescheduling of cup matches disrupted earlier in the competition.

Several Copa del Rey and Copa de la Reina fixtures were postponed following the death of Tenerife striker Jesús de Miguel, requiring changes to the competition calendar. The federation moved the men’s second-round draw to allow outstanding matches to be completed and participating teams confirmed. The women’s Copa de la Reina round-of-16 draw is scheduled for 26 November. Copa del Rey second-round ties remain single-elimination matches.

Why It Matters

The revised schedule delays clubs' preparations for the next knockout round while postponed fixtures are completed.
