Manchester City defeated RB Leipzig 3-2 in the Champions League after surrendering their lead twice. Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal in the 78th minute.

A Castello Lukeba own goal put City ahead before Ridle Baku equalised. Fernández restored the visitors’ advantage, but Antonio Nusa responded for Leipzig. Haaland then converted Elliot Anderson’s delivery at the back post. The Norwegian criticised City’s inability to control matches and finish opponents off despite securing the victory.

Why It Matters

City recover from consecutive domestic defeats but their defensive vulnerability remains a concern.
