Everton secured their first Premier League away victory since February, defeating Newcastle at St James’ Park. Newcastle suffered their fourth league defeat in six games and finished with ten players.
Newcastle goalkeeper Lukas Horníček failed to gather Tyrique George’s shot, allowing Thierno Barry to score. Everton protected their lead while Newcastle struggled to respond. Substitute Jacob Ramsey was sent off, and the victory lifted David Moyes’ side from 14th to seventh in the standings.
