Inter Miami defeated New England Revolution 2-1, with Lionel Messi assisting the equaliser before scoring the winner. The victory secured Miami’s qualification for the 2027 CONCACAF Champions Cup and lifted them to second place in the Eastern Conference.
Dániel Gazdag gave New England the lead early in the second half. Messi then supplied a backward header for Germán Berterame to equalise in the 69th minute before scoring with a low left-footed shot. A late New England equaliser was disallowed for offside. Miami reached 59 points with one regular-season match remaining.
