Manchester United face a worsening injury situation ahead of their Champions League meeting with Como after eight players missed Tuesday’s training session. Lisandro Martínez and Marcus Rashford were among those absent, leaving manager Michael Carrick with several selection concerns.
Martínez sustained a thigh problem during Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Leeds United, while United confirmed Rashford is managing an unspecified injury. Ayden Heaven, Luke Shaw, Kobbie Mainoo, Benjamin Šeško, Patrick Dorgu and Manuel Ugarte also missed training. Matthijs de Ligt has resumed training after back surgery but has not yet returned to competitive action. Defender Leny Yoro is suspended for the fixture in Italy.
