Feyenoord thrashed PEC Zwolle 7-0 in the Eredivisie, producing an emphatic response to their 5-1 Champions League defeat at Barcelona. The result became the biggest defeat in PEC’s club history and featured a hat-trick from striker Nacho Ferri.
Feyenoord dominated from the opening stages and captain Luciano Valente said they could have been six goals ahead by half-time. Ferri scored three times, while Givairo Read supplied three assists as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side overwhelmed PEC throughout.
