London City Lionesses owner Michele Kang says the club’s new Nike front-of-shirt sponsorship is the largest women-only shirt deal in football. Kang said its value exceeds the reported roughly £2.96 million Atlanta NWSL agreement and some Premier League sponsorships.
London City are the only independent women’s club in England’s top flight, while other WSL teams share sponsors with men’s sides. The commercial agreement follows major recruitment including Alexia Putellas, Mapi Leon, Mary Earps and Kadidiatou Diani.
