Chelsea say 39 players left the club this summer through sales and loans, generating more than £500 million including loan fees. The club estimates it made about £120 million in transfer profit despite spending £349 million on 11 incoming players.
Seventeen players were sold and another 22 loaned, with several options or obligations attached. Major departures included Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson and Marc Cucurella, while Chelsea increasingly traded with Premier League rivals and sister club Strasbourg to balance spending.
