Newcastle beat Tottenham 2-0 in North London through second-half goals from Anthony Elanga and Yoane Wissa. The result gave Matthias Jaissle his first Premier League victory and left Spurs bottom after two defeats, no points and no goals scored.
Tottenham produced 17 attempts but failed to convert any, while Newcastle scored with both of their shots on target. Elanga finished after Nico Gonzalez and Amar Dedic combined, before Wissa added the second with an improvised overhead kick from a corner.
