Exequiel Palacios, Ipswich Town and Bayer Leverkusen

Ipswich Town have signed Argentina midfielder Exequiel Palacios from Bayer Leverkusen on a four-year contract. The 27-year-old becomes the first World Cup winner to join Ipswich and arrives after six seasons and 186 appearances with the Bundesliga club.
Palacios brings experience from Argentina’s 2022 World Cup triumph, two Copa America victories and Leverkusen’s Bundesliga-winning campaign. The completed transfer is a hard update from the previous report that Ipswich were only closing in on an agreement with Leverkusen.
