Sporting Kansas City, Olympiacos and Andre Luiz

Sporting Kansas City have signed Brazilian forward Andre Luiz from Olympiacos on a five-year Designated Player contract for a club-record transfer fee. ESPN reports the MLS side will pay $18m, more than doubling its previous record of $7.5m.
The 24-year-old arrives after a breakout season split between Rio Ave and Olympiacos, where he established himself as an attacking prospect. Sporting KC are rebuilding under new ownership and management after struggling near the bottom of the Western Conference.
