Jordan Henderson, Chelsea and Brentford

Chelsea have signed England midfielder Jordan Henderson on a two-year contract after Brentford mutually terminated his deal. The 36-year-old becomes Chelsea’s tenth summer arrival and brings extensive Premier League, Champions League and international experience to Xabi Alonso’s squad.
Henderson joins without a transfer fee after making 32 league appearances for Brentford last season. Chelsea expect his leadership and winning experience to support a young squad that finished tenth and missed European qualification during the previous campaign.
