Granit Xhaka is set to stay at Sunderland despite Chelsea interest and a rejected £8m bid. Sources at the club say the captain is not for sale, and the midfielder has reaffirmed his commitment after talks with the Black Cats.
Chelsea remain interested because Xhaka previously worked with Xabi Alonso at Bayer Leverkusen, but Sunderland are resisting a summer exit. The 33-year-old helped them qualify for Europe and remains under contract until 2028 this window.
