Hannah Dingley has told MPs that women still face major barriers in football coaching pathways, hiring and perception. The former Forest Green Rovers caretaker said qualifications are often questioned and women are steered toward lower-age roles.

Dingley pointed to unequal coaching pathways for male and female players, limited access through professional unions and male-dominated decision makers. FIFA’s new requirement for female coaches in some women’s tournaments was described as only a starting point.
