Olivier Giroud has agreed a one-year contract extension with Lille, keeping him in top-flight football into his 40s. The veteran striker will continue under new manager Davide Ancelotti after a productive season in France.
Giroud played 44 matches last season and scored 11 goals across all competitions, including key Europa League strikes. Lille believe his experience and dressing-room presence can support Ancelotti’s first major managerial project.
