Real Madrid can re-sign Nico Paz “whenever they want,” says Como president

Real Madrid retain the right to re-sign Argentine midfielder Nico Paz from Como for just €9 million in 2026 or €10 million in 2027 under the buyback clause agreed during his 2024 transfer. The 21-year-old has flourished under coach Cesc Fàbregas, recording six goals and nine assists last season and adding three goals and three assists this term.
Como president Mirwan Suwarso confirmed Madrid’s option, stating: “Real Madrid are allowed to buy him back whenever they want. It’s up to Nico to decide his future.” Tottenham had tabled a €70m offer in the summer, but Paz opted to stay. Seen as a long-term successor to Lionel Messi in Argentina’s midfield, he remains central to Xabi Alonso’s rebuild plans.
