Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United after Barcelona decided not to activate their €30m purchase option. The England forward publicly thanked the Spanish champions after contributing 14 goals and 14 assists during his season-long loan.
Barcelona’s additions of Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi have reduced the prospect of another deal. Rashford is expected at United training in August, although reintegration under Michael Carrick remains uncertain and the club could seek about €40m.
