Carlotta Wamser, Manchester City and Bayer Leverkusen

Manchester City have completed the signing of Germany international Carlotta Wamser from Bayer Leverkusen on a four-year contract. The 22-year-old full-back can operate on either side and becomes the Women’s Super League champions’ third summer signing.
Wamser joined Leverkusen from Eintracht Frankfurt only last year and has 14 senior Germany caps. Her arrival gives City additional defensive cover before their title defence, with Niamh Charles, Grace Clinton, Vivianne Miedema, Jade Rose and Laura Wienroither injured.
