Christian Eriksen and Wolfsburg

Christian Eriksen has left Wolfsburg by mutual consent before his contract was due to expire in June 2027. The 34-year-old, who has not played since June, said being close to his family in Denmark is important at this stage.
Wolfsburg agreed to terminate Eriksen’s contract at his request, with sporting director Dieter Hecking saying the decision about his future had to remain his. Eriksen joined the German second-tier club as a free agent a year ago and made 34 appearances.
