Giannis Konstantelias has completed a move from PAOK to Borussia Dortmund in a deal that could exceed €30m, while angry PAOK supporters occupied club offices and the Toumba Stadium in protest against the sale of their homegrown midfielder.
The transfer becomes one of the biggest sales in Greek football and proceeds despite a supporter backlash similar to the protests that helped derail Konstantelias’ Stuttgart move last year. This time PAOK allowed the transfer to Dortmund to reach completion.
