Aston Villa, Parma and Zion Suzuki

Aston Villa have reached an agreement to sign Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki in a deal worth an initial €30m plus up to €5m in add-ons. The Japan international agreed a five-year contract after his proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain collapsed.
Villa moved quickly after PSG withdrew over late commission demands and have begun exchanging documents with Parma. Suzuki’s arrival could also accelerate Emiliano Martinez’s departure, with Juventus continuing negotiations for Argentina’s first-choice goalkeeper before the transfer window closes.
