Amber Barrett said Republic of Ireland have nothing to lose against France after her late winner against the Netherlands kept automatic Women’s World Cup qualification alive. Carla Ward’s side are now unbeaten in three qualifiers.

Ireland travel to Grenoble knowing victory over France would seal a direct place at the tournament. Even without a win, they have secured at least a seeded play-off route, but Barrett said the squad will chase the bigger prize.
