Luka Modric will continue playing for Croatia after the World Cup, with new coach Slaven Bilic confirming the 41-year-old remains central to his plans. The AC Milan midfielder is returning for Nations League matches against Spain and England.
Bilic said there was no need to persuade Modric after a lengthy discussion in Zadar. Croatia will manage his workload carefully, with the coach saying Modric will not play all four upcoming internationals and will follow a rhythm suited to him.
