UEFA and Concacaf leaders asked FIFA to provide each of its 211 member federations with an additional $10 million payment from post-World Cup reserves. Their proposal would distribute $2.1 billion while preserving funding already promised to members through 2030.

Aleksander Ceferin and Victor Montagliani also requested an independent analysis of FIFA’s finances before an October 15 council meeting. The letter escalates their dispute with president Gianni Infantino following the abandoned plan to sell stakes in FIFA competitions to private investors.
