Claudio Ranieri says Leicester did not sack him only because of results. He claims the chairman’s son later told him that part of the problem was his poor relationship with some English staff members behind the scenes. Ranieri told FourFourTwo that one staff member had already been speaking badly about him to players during the title-winning season. He chose not to act after the title because of the mood around the club, but now says that decision was a mistake and that the issue continued into the following campaign.
