Manchester City and the Premier League

The Premier League has formally published the independent commission’s findings against Manchester City, confirming the club was guilty of all financial-rule charges and all but one cooperation charge. The findings describe a disguised funding scheme worth more than £830 million.
The commission found that owner-funded sums were presented as sponsorship income and that other arrangements concealed costs and liabilities. Manchester City deny wrongdoing and have until 2 October to submit an appeal, while sanctions will be decided separately.
