Carrick altered United’s post-match schedule by giving players the day after games off, shifting recovery to the following day, and loosening some matchday timing rules. Under prior regimes, the day after a match included recovery work and full sessions for those who played limited minutes. Carrick now gives a full day off first, then runs recovery the next day. He also moved matchday arrival later than the four-hours-before rule used previously. Carrick also gave updates: Mount has a minor training knock and should return soon; Dorgu’s issue looks more serious and will sideline him for an uncertain number of weeks.
