Memphis Depay has agreed a new Corinthians contract through 2028 after significantly reducing his financial demands. The turnaround comes days after the Brazilian club withdrew a previously agreed extension and the Netherlands forward publicly accused Corinthians of unacceptable behaviour.

Corinthians president Osmar Stabile confirmed the revised agreement after direct negotiations with Memphis. ESPN Brasil reports the forward waived about R$21m of money owed to him, while the remaining debt will be repaid in instalments beginning in January 2027.
