Lucas Bergvall and Tottenham Hotspur

Lucas Bergvall has signed a new Tottenham contract three months after telling the club he wanted to leave. The 20-year-old Sweden midfielder has reversed course following summer interest from Aston Villa and Chelsea, while Spurs rejected a £38 million Nottingham Forest bid.
Bergvall had struggled for minutes after Roberto de Zerbi’s arrival and has played only 45 Premier League minutes this season. Tottenham now want to develop him despite strong midfield competition from Sandro Tonali, Rodrigo Bentancur and Conor Gallagher.
