LaLiga and CANAL+ have launched a strategic anti-piracy partnership covering roughly 50 countries across Europe, sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti. The agreement expands their relationship beyond football distribution, combining enforcement capabilities to target illegal sports broadcasts across multiple regions.
The organisations will share information, coordinate enforcement strategies and accelerate action against illegal distribution networks. LaLiga president Javier Tebas said the alliance is designed to protect competition value and broadcaster investment, while CANAL+ described piracy as a threat to the entire sports ecosystem.
