The Irish League has launched its first player-led Gambling Support Group to help footballers dealing with gambling addiction. The initiative arrives as betting sponsorship expands across the men’s and women’s Premiership, League Cups and another regional competition this season.
The PFA in Northern Ireland is working with the Irish FA and former players to provide confidential support and education. QR codes and posters are available at Premiership grounds, giving players a lower-barrier way to seek help without punishment.
