Arsenal, Richard Garlick and Mikel Arteta
16 October 2026
Arsenal are preparing to cut approximately 60 jobs across the club despite reporting record annual revenue of £691 million for the 2024-25 season. The planned redundancies represent around 7% of the club’s permanent workforce and will not affect the men’s or women’s playing and coaching departments.
Chief executive Richard Garlick informed employees about the proposed restructuring. Manager Mikel Arteta said the club had explained the changes as part of efforts to improve its operations and continue investing in success. The announcement follows Arsenal’s Premier League title victory and Arteta’s new four-year managerial contract.
