Manchester United marked their Champions League return with a 4-0 win over Sabah at Old Trafford. Matheus Cunha, Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko and Lisandro Martinez scored as Michael Carrick’s side ended a 1,016-day wait for a goal in the competition.
United led 3-0 by half-time after Patrick Dorgu created Cunha’s opener and Sesko converted after running beyond the defence. Martinez added a fourth after the break, while Sesko’s first start since May strengthened his case to face Manchester City.
