Liverpool and Nottingham Forest
29 August 2026
Liverpool came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at Anfield, with Victor Munoz scoring the late equaliser. The match also produced controversy after a malfunctioning substitution board delayed Liverpool’s planned triple change before Forest won a penalty.
Dan Ndoye opened the scoring before Alexander Isak levelled from Cody Gakpo’s cross. Morgan Gibbs-White restored Forest’s lead from the penalty spot after Neco Williams was fouled, then Munoz struck in the 82nd minute to rescue Liverpool’s second straight draw.
