Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott has withdrawn from England’s squad with a quadriceps injury and is expected to miss six to eight weeks. The 23-year-old had played 70 minutes in England’s 7-0 Nations League victory over Croatia.
Scott felt the thigh problem before the Croatia match but still made his first England start. The setback could rule him out of nine Bournemouth fixtures across the Premier League, Europa League and Carabao Cup before the November international break.
