Roberta Picchi and Como

Como extended forward Roberta Picchi’s contract through the end of the 2027-28 season after the 34-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer. The Italian club said she will begin treatment while receiving support from its medical team and outside specialists.
Picchi helped Como win Serie B and secure promotion to women’s Serie A last season. Como described the extension as part of its continued commitment to her, while Picchi said she will focus on treatment and intends to return with greater determination.
