Luka Doncic to Miss Lakers’ Game vs. Bucks Due to Ankle Injury

Doncic will sit out Thursday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks as he continues to manage a sprained right ankle.

The injury occurred in the third quarter. This setback comes just after Sabonis returned from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for six games. Jonas Valančiūnas is expected to step into the starting lineup during his absence. The Kings, currently ninth in the Western Conference, have struggled without Sabonis, holding a 3-6 record in games he’s missed this season.

Trey Murphy III Ruled Out for Season with Shoulder Injury

Murphy will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn labrum and partially torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder.
How: He initially dislocated his shoulder in the first quarter of Monday’s 46-point loss to the Pistons. Further examination confirmed the severity of the injury. Murphy had been averaging a career-high 21.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists while shooting 45.4% overall and 36.1% from three in 52 games.

Anthony Davis Assigned to G League for Rehab Work

Davis will join the Mavericks’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, to participate in five-on-five workouts as he recovers from a left adductor strain.
The 10-time All-Star has played just one game for the Mavericks since being acquired in the Luka Dončić trade. He last played on Feb. 8, scoring 16 points, 7 assists, and 3 blocks before exiting with the injury.
