Crystal Palace have signed former Tottenham captain Bethany England on a two-year deal with an option for another season. The 32-year-old striker joins the newly promoted WSL club after leaving Spurs when her contract expired this summer.

England brings 87 career WSL goals, major Chelsea honours and Lionesses experience from Euro 2022 and the 2023 World Cup. Palace manager Jo Potter said the forward’s scoring record and experience should be crucial next season.

Everton have signed France forward Noemie Mouchon on a free transfer from Leicester City. The 23-year-old joins after Leicester’s relegation from the Women’s Super League and becomes another attacking option for Everton next season.

Mouchon made 24 WSL appearances and scored twice during two years at Leicester after earlier spells with Lille and Reims. Everton are also discussing a possible move for Leicester forward Jutta Rantala, but no deal is agreed.

Bournemouth have signed striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche in a deal worth up to £25.7m. The 22-year-old has agreed a five-year contract and arrives to add a more physical attacking option alongside Evanilson.

Rodriguez scored seven goals and supplied five assists in La Liga last season, while Real Madrid will receive half of any future fee. Bournemouth view him as depth for their first European campaign, not a direct Junior Kroupi replacement.

Tuesday

Manchester United have signed Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa on a five-year deal after triggering his £35m release clause. The Belgium midfielder becomes another key part of United’s rebuild and will wear Casemiro’s former number 18 shirt.

United moved after earlier midfield plans shifted, adding Tielemans’ Premier League experience and leadership alongside Andrey Santos. Villa lose an influential player after a World Cup campaign in which Tielemans scored twice and then suffered a warm-up injury.

Tuesday

Liverpool club-record signing Denise O’Sullivan has left just six months after joining and signed for Gotham FC. The move is an initial one-year loan with an obligation to buy, taking the Republic of Ireland midfielder back to the NWSL.

O’Sullivan wanted a return to the United States after nine seasons with North Carolina Courage. Liverpool are expected to receive a large fee, but her exit hurts Gareth Taylor’s rebuild after an already disappointing campaign.

London City Lionesses are set to sign France forward Kadidiatou Diani from Lyon for a fee above £500,000. The 31-year-old announced her Lyon departure despite one year remaining on her contract and is nearing a WSL move.

Chelsea have agreed a deal worth about £850,000 to sign Manchester United forward Melvine Malard. The France international is set for a medical before completing the move, which would reunite her with former Lyon boss Sonia Bompastor.

United offered Malard a new contract but accepted a fee after she made clear she wanted to leave. The move strengthens Chelsea’s attack after Sam Kerr’s Gotham switch and gives United funds to reinvest this summer.

Leeds Agree Muharemovic Fee

Leeds United, Sassuolo and Tarik Muharemovic
Tuesday

Leeds United have agreed a £34.1m fee with Sassuolo for Bosnia-Herzegovina defender Tarik Muharemovic. The centre-back has not yet agreed personal terms or completed a medical, with other Premier League clubs still showing interest.

Leeds want Muharemovic as a direct replacement for Pascal Struijk, who joined Brighton in June. Juventus are reportedly due half the fee because of a clause from last summer’s sale to Sassuolo, as Daniel Farke reshapes his defence.

Arsenal Sign Germany Forward Baum

Arsenal, RB Leipzig and Lisa Baum
